"BlindSight" is a VR full length Feature Film currently in development. It combines a new avant-garde artistic idea with challenging cutting edge technology to create an experience that is unique.
It’s a totally absorbing story where the audience lives the narrative together with the protagonist and experiences an emotional connection like no other. The story is a path of self discovery and by the very nature of the device at the core of the film, the audience are active, not passive, participants in this journey.
"Mules" is being developed as an episodic drama and features five different characters, five different lives and five different reasons to agree to take an impossible risk.
I am a creative leader with a strong passion for cutting edge technology.
Eight years ago, I realised that being able to see the bigger picture is a rare gift. Slowly I moved from a pure hands-on creative career into leadership, an initially difficult decision, lead by the need to oversee the totality of the projects I was involved with, together with the experience gained in many years of creative and technical work and finally by the desire to succeed at higher level, relying on the great talents I was able to attract.
I produced TV commercials for the Italian market, short movies and documentaries and a number of international events for the fashion industry, with a wide range of clients including the Dali Universe Museum in London, Disney, Gucci, Valentino and Roberto Cavalli.
Since 2015 I have been working at Foundry, managing and delivering Government and European funded research and development projects with budgets ranging from £500K to over £5M.
Parallel to this, I’ve partnered with independent filmmakers and have accomplished challenging projects like the delivery of "Alex The Vampire", a short movie for the Sony DMPC at Pinewood, and supported the development of NVE, a radically new way of shooting and processing stereoscopic cinema that gained the interest of a select number of high-level industry players. Currently I'm producing the first VR full-length feature film called "BlindSight", presently at the testing stage under the umbrella of a Hollywood Studio, and Mules an episodic TV drama in development, that will leave the audience literally speechless.
I am, at my core, a creative person and today creativity and technology are more interconnected and interdependent than ever before. My technical background in post production and VFX departments of movies including "Cuando la Verdad Despierta" (starring Fidel Castro), "Skyfall", "Maleficent", "47 Ronin" and "World War Z", was built on the solid base of my studies at the Academy of Fine Arts (BA - 1st class honours, and MA) and in Computer Graphics (MSc). My current role at Foundry relies also on my ability to foresee future developments of new concepts like hyperreality and the ability to impact on the science associated to their successful delivery.
Technology is a constantly evolving pattern while we now live in a world where creativity holds no borders anymore. In this exciting panorama, I greatly enjoy being the bridge that links left-brain technicians with the right-brain creatives, thereby leading to new undiscovered horizons.
Somehow I still find the energy to run the equivalent of two marathons a week, challenge myself to pick up new languages whenever I can and invent new ways of introducing peanut butter as a core ingredient of any possible recipe.
